System Frontier 2.18.0 Release Now Available

Stability, security and performance improvements continue

We are pleased to announce the latest update to System Frontier, our automation and privilege management software. This release includes several improvements, bug fixes, and enhancements.

Notable Improvements

  • SQL bulk copy streaming has been enabled to improve Collection membership performance.
  • Database queries for Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) permissions have been optimized for improved efficiency.
  • A cache layer has been added for faster access to RBAC data.

Bug Fixes

A comprehensive list of bug fixes addresses various issues, including:

  • Job stats not accurately reflecting total execution time
  • Jobs never completing due to errors related to no execution host
  • Certain roles not displaying in the UI as expected
  • Child collections not being displayed in alphabetical order for non-admin users
  • Collections created by non-admin roles not visible in main menu items
  • Clickjacking vulnerabilities identified and addressed

In addition, several other issues have been resolved, including those related to:

  • Active Directory queries not supporting SSL signing
  • Job view grid displaying “Loading…” when access is denied
  • Rendering issues with radio buttons and global toast messages
  • Missing issue counts in the Job API
  • Default dates for new notes being incorrect
