Connect to a Domain

You are here:

System Frontier can be configured to use one or more Active Directory domains to query delegated user and group information.

Adding a Domain entry

  1. Navigate to Settings > Domain Configuration
  2. Click Add
  3. The Domain Name field must be the NETBIOS name for the domain.
For example, mydomain would be the portion of mydomain.net that’s used here.
  4. The fully qualified domain name (FQDN) can be used for the LDAP Binding field. This is the actual path used to connect to the domain.
  5. Select a set of credentials under Credential Mapping that will be used to communicate with this domain for read-only query purposes.
  6. Click Save.

NOTE: If the domain requires a secure connection, append port 636 to the binding. Example: mydomain.net:636
