Need more time to work on proactive management?

System Frontier makes it easier to put the power of your scripts safely in the hands of Tier 1 support staff, vendors, offshore IT or anyone who directly supports a system. The end user is presented with a secure, web based console that only allows them to run the scripts or tools you've assigned them access to.

Role Based Access Control

Leverage the power of a granular RBAC model to delegate fine-grained permissions at the computer, user or object level.

Dynamically manage IIS, scheduled tasks, services, processes, local users, event logs and much more. All without modifying individual system permissions or registry hacks.

On-premise Security

You own your data. Get the "update often" benefits of SaaS, with the security benefits of in-house software.

Manage assets in your datacenter, in the cloud or a hybrid of both.

Retain complete control of how employees, contractors, vendors and other users manage your environment.

PowerShell Web Interface

Allow non-administrators to safely
run any command-line script or executable, including PowerShell, VBScript, PowerCLI, SQL, etc...

Automatically generate a web interface to capture user input for any script. Every line of output is stored in the database to enable easier audit and compliance reporting while reducing redundant troubleshooting steps between support teams.

Privilege Management
doesn't have to be complex.

  • No agents to deploy.
  • No clients to install.
  • Based on standard technologies.
  • Simple licensing model.
  • Awesome support.
Let System Frontier automatically build user interfaces to your script or executable for you.

When a delegated admin provides input, the values will be mapped to the command-line arguments of your script.

Create tools in minutes with no HTML coding needed.

Windows Server 2008 R2 or newer with .NET Framework 4.6.1 or newer. Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 or newer (Express, Standard or Enterprise editions). 1 GHz CPU. 4 GB RAM. 5 GB free hard drive space. The web console utilizes IIS 7.5 or newer, which can be automatically installed for you during setup.
You can install the web, database and management components on a single physical or virtual server, or on separate servers. Both Active Directory and workgroup environments are supported.
Software licensing is based on a subscription model and charged per node. You need only provide the number of nodes you wish to manage to determine licensing costs.
A "node" is any physical or virtual instance of a server, workstation, network endpoint or other object that will be managed directly or indirectly by System Frontier.
There are no "per user" costs for users who have delegated access or will otherwise manage and/or view managed nodes.

Pro and Enterprise licenses are sold in 50 node license packs. Volume discounts are available starting at 250 nodes.
Educational institutions and non-profit organizations recieve a minimum 30% discount.
Yes. If you use System Frontier to manage a server or workstation directly, or indirectly through some other API like VMware vCenter or Microsoft Hyper-V, it still requires a license.
In most cases, yes! Legacy machines need love too. With System Frontier, you can manage and/or delegate management of Windows servers and workstations from a single web interface.

Server Operating System Support

Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2, Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows 2000 Server SP4*

Non-Windows Devices

Any network based device or object that can be accessed remotely via command-line or API can be managed using the Custom Tools feature of System Frontier. Examples: Active Directory users, Office 365 users, printers, network switches, etc...
* Many native product features do not work properly in Windows 2000, but the sky is the limit when using the Custom Tools (scripts or command-line utilities) feature.
Yes, but only for user accounts. Groups do not require a license. Let's say you have a PowerShell script used to create new user accounts in AD and you delegate access to it through System Frontier. If you create (or plan to create) 150 accounts in total, between creating, modifying and deleting in one year, then you would license those 150 "nodes" since the management of those nodes will be done via System Frontier, regardless of what management API you may use on the backend.

You could be delegating PowerShell scripts in 30 minutes or less.
